The Exhausting Fear of Being Found Out
Michael Kelley:
It’s paralyzing, this fear of being found out. Of being discovered to be somehow “less” than the perception that others have of you. It’s the feeling of wondering whether or not the next action, the next tweet, the next post, the next statement, is going to be funny enough, smart enough, penetrating enough, clever enough to buy us just a little more time. And if we’re not careful, we can find ourselves devoting endless energy to making that carefully crafted persona continues to withstand any scrutiny that comes its way. We can drift into lies, disingenuous actions, and running in fear, all because of what might happen if we are actually found out.

How 11 Pastors Preach Politics (Or Don’t)
Morgan Lee:
Last week, San Antonio pastor Max Lucado became the most high-profile pastor to speak out against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. “It is a break with precedent with me,” Lucado told CT in an interview about his decision to disavow Trump. “I’ve never done anything like this. It’s an unprecedented act on my part. I do not want to continue this. I have no desire to police presidential candidates.”
Does Lucado’s disengagement from politics make him the exception or the rule? We asked 11 pastors from around the country about the last time they preached about politics and why.

Did Jesus Have Evil Desire?
Mike Leake:
If temptation comes from evil desires then what does this mean that Jesus was tempted by the devil? It’s the same word for temptation used in Matthew 4 and James 1. We cannot changed this and say that Jesus was tested in the wilderness but not tempted. To do so would do a great injustice to the argument in Hebrews 4:15. No Jesus was tempted much in the same way that we are tempted.
So does this mean that Jesus had an evil desire which drew him into temptation in the wilderness?
No. It doesn’t and here is why…
